JTA believes the most important activity a consultant does in performing the job is to listen. Listen to the client’s needs, and then advise on the appropriate course of action. JTA considers the building’s programming, its use, and how people, goods, and services enter and exit. JTA ensures the structure is cost-effective, satisfies architectural aesthetics, and allows the most efficient use of the building.
Our Primary Services:
Engineer of record
- Structural design of new buildings, renovations, utility/power, and other project types.
- Forensic investigations due to structural failure. Usually associated with an insurance claim.
- BIM coordination using Autodesk products (revit, autocad) and more recently Tekla Structures
Delegated Design (Specialty Structural Engineering).
- Steel to steel connections, embed plates in masonry or concrete
- Steel stairs
- Construction engineering. Temporary stability, rigging selection, evaluation of crane loading on temporary works.
- Management of subcontract steel and rebar detailing using Tekla structures.
